Towards 4+5 is a five year Research Programme Consortium on Maternal and Newborn health. Our goal is to support evidence based policy and practice for maternal and newborn health to facilitate the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5.

Latest news Evidence presented to the UK parliamentary enquiry on maternal morbidity In December 2008, researchers from the Consortium submitted written and oral evidence to the All Party Parliamentary group on Population, Development and Reproductive health. Towards 4+5 annual meeting in Ghana This year's annual meeting took place on the 3-6 November, and was hosted by the Kintampo Health Research Centre in Accra, Ghana.
